Mr Jan-Louis van den Berg
Managing Director: Infrastructure Management Services
Jan-Louis van den Berg is a professional civil engineer with over 30 years’ experience who specializes in project management, water services and infrastructure asset management. He is currently the MD for Infrastructure Management Services (IMS).
As head of Africon’s Mpumalanga Region from 1997 to 2004, and the Southern Cape Region from 2005 to 2008, he coordinated teams of engineers, project managers and technicians involved in projects varying from pure technical design and implementation, operation and maintenance management to project management and strategic planning.
Over the years, Jan-Louis has gained substantial experience and developed a good understanding of the challenges faced by South African Municipalities and Government Departments pertaining to service delivery. With his strong communication and interpersonal skills, combined with his multi-disciplinary experience, he is well-suited for being responsible for coordinating and integrating activities across multiple functional lines.
